About the Team

Snowlike Racing Team – Schaumburg is a competitive ski and snowboard club dedicated to developing young and ambitious athletes. Our mission is to build skills, discipline, and sportsmanship through professional training and participation in regional and national competitions.

What makes us unique is the combination of year-round indoor training on ski and snowboard simulators with regular trips to real slopes. This ensures continuous practice in every season and a solid foundation for success on the racing scene.

Programs & Levels

Our indibidual training programs are designed to support athletes at every stage of their development:

  • Juniors (6–12 years) – Skill-building stage with a mix of simulator training, physical conditioning, and first outdoor race experiences.
  • Teens (13–18 years) – Advanced preparation for regional and national competitions with structured training plans, technique refinement, and regular outdoor trips.
  • Adults (Masters) – For athletes who want to stay competitive, improve their technique, or return to racing.

Our unique approach combines year-round indoor simulator sessions, physical conditioning, and outdoor trips to real slopes. This ensures continuous progress and race-readiness in every season.

Competitions

Snowlike Racing Team – Schaumburg prepares athletes to participate in a variety of ski and snowboard competitions. Our racers will begin with regional events in the Midwest, building experience and confidence on real slopes. As skills progress, athletes will have opportunities to compete in US Ski & Snowboard sanctioned races at both regional and national levels.

The team is currently in the process of registration with US Ski & Snowboard, ensuring that all members will have access to official competitions, licensed coaches, and a clear pathway for development in the sport.

Why Competitive Ski & Snowboard Training Matters

Competitive ski and snowboard training offers far more than strong technique—it helps children and teenagers grow physically, mentally, and personally.

Through structured training, young athletes develop excellent balance, coordination, strength, and carving skills, while also learning discipline, focus, and perseverance. These are lifelong skills that support success in school, sports, and beyond.

Just as importantly, competitive training builds confidence. Athletes learn how to handle challenges, pressure, and goals—both on and off the slopes—while developing a strong sense of self-belief.

A Clear Path to College Opportunities

In the United States, skiing and snowboarding are recognized competitive sports at many universities. Strong competitive experience can support college admissions and scholarship opportunities, especially when combined with solid academics. Even for families who are not focused on competition long-term, this pathway remains an important and valuable option for the future.

Why Train Competitively at Snowlike Studio

Year-Round Progress

Snowlike offers uninterrupted, year-round indoor training. Progress doesn’t stop with the season, weather, or travel limitations—consistency is what creates real advancement.

Faster Skill Development

In a single session, athletes can complete hundreds or even over 1,000 turns—far more than on a typical day on the mountain. This repetition leads to faster technical improvement and better muscle memory.

Safe, Controlled Environment

Training takes place in a safe, focused setting without lift lines, crowds, or distractions. This allows athletes to concentrate fully on technique and learning.

Real Mountain & Race Simulation

Our simulators replicate real mountain conditions such as ice, slush, bumps, and uneven terrain, as well as slalom and giant slalom courses—preparing athletes for both recreational and competitive skiing and snowboarding.

Individual Attention for Every Athlete

We work with children, teenagers, and adults at different levels, adapting training to each athlete’s goals—whether they aim to compete, improve performance, or prepare for future opportunities.

Experience You Can Trust

With decades of experience in skiing, coaching, and education, we focus on building strong fundamentals and long-term development—not quick fixes.

A Balanced, Healthy Approach

Training at Snowlike is challenging, motivating, and enjoyable. Athletes work hard, see results, and stay inspired—key factors for long-term success and commitment.

Competition Costs (Not Included in Membership Fee)

Participation in competitions is optional and paid separately by each athlete. These costs typically include:

  • Entry fees for each race (usually $30–60 per event)
  • Lift tickets, transportation, and lodging during competitions

The club organizes participation but does not cover these additional expenses.

On-Snow Winter Training Camps (Not Included in Membership Fee)

During the winter season, Snowlike Racing Team will organize two optional on-snow training camps on real snow, scheduled during school breaks (such as Winter Break or Spring Break) and weather permitting. These camps are designed to transfer skills developed on the simulators to real mountain conditions, including technical training and SL/GS fundamentals.

Participation in on-snow camps is not included in the regular training fee and is offered as an optional add-on.
For reference, similar multi-day ski training camps typically range from approximately $300–$500 for regional day camps, with higher-end or travel-based programs costing more depending on location and included services.

Additional details, dates, and pricing will be communicated in advance.
